So about 3 weeks ago a friend at work got a Pre of her own and came in with this case.
So needless to say the next day I was off to grab one. I did run in to a small problem when getting to the Sprint store the next day. They had it marked at $34.95. The same price as that crappy hard case of there's. I asked them if that was the right price and sure enough thats the price they had in there computer. that was just a bit more than I was willing to pay for it so I said no thanks.
About to weeks ago I was paying my bill online and checked for the case on the Sprint site and there was the same case for $14.99. So I went back to the Sprint store to get one. When I got there they still had it on the shelf and in there computer as $34.95. I asked them why it was double the price and I got the standard "everything is cheaper online" line. Well I called CS to see about this... long store short the CS rep said that it was a miss pricing in the system and that I should only have to pay $14.99 for it in the store as well and to put her on the line with the and I quote "The instore help"(just thought it was funny how he worded and said it). 5 minutes later the "instore help" rang me up for the $14.99 price minus my S/P 25% discount. So I walked out of the store paying like $11.50 for the case.
But I got to say that it was the best $11.50 plus a bit of my time spent this far on my Pre.
The case is pretty much the same size as the OEM pouch that came with the Pre. It's made out of thin but leather and lined with a soft felt inside. The front and back of the case feel like it has some kind of cardboard or other stiff material in it to add some protection. The stitching is done really nice and fairly close together so I get the feeling it will last. The fit was a bit snug at first, but after about a week of use it loosened up a bit. It doesn't feel cheap or like it will fall apart but Sprint covers it. If it starts to fall apart with in a year you can bring it back and exchange it for a new one!!!
