treo pro games
« on: 18 August 2009, 23:52:01 » by diego_troll
Hi all. I'm a new member and have just spent some time going through these forums and want to make sure I've got this straight... I'm using a Treo Pro with winmo 6.1. In order to get the games to work I've got to download the .cab versions (to the card for best results) and when I get the laptop out I can put the .exe files in the active sync program, but it seems to me it would still have to be "installed" somewhere so the .exe file can access other files needed for the games, is this correct? I've found a site with alot of free games but they mostly java based games (.jar) how do I install a java platform so I can play these? Thanks

The EXE is basically just a guided installer for a CAB file. I personally hate them because they install junk onto my computer, so I always go with a CAB when possible.
As for Java, I wouldn't bother to waste time on it. Even if you somehow do get it to install, it's likely that the games won't support 320x320.

if you can find games and such that can run on a 320 x 320 screen, i would recommend using this
