Handy application to set the jpeg quality of your Treo 600 camera. Qset lets you set the compression factor that the Treo software uses. The default is 65 but you can set it anywhere between 1 and 99. Increasing the Q will give a significantly better picture quality although the photos will take up more space. A good setting is 90. Qset is a freeware utility.

ivan.icin: Treo 680 - the same error as reported by mcb
passos21: best
molzfsni: I downloaded to my Treo 600, compared it with identical picture before and after on treo screen and saw significate improvement with 90 setting. I definitely place it in memory card to save space in my phone, thank you.
flamingsquid: Works on Treo 600. Haven't checked the difference between the photos (other than the increased file size). I couldn't compress it to 1, although you probably wouldn't want to do that anyway.
ELSONSARAIVA: this program is wonderful
rverstee: Works fine on my 650. Isn't going to turn a 600/650 into a high resolution camera but it cranks the quality up to where you can print an acceptable 4x6 snapshot. Which is more then I can say for the camera without qset.
killsitoxD: ps esta bien cjido estos farcias xD xD de los mejiesres proframas ke e oribado
dugmike: Worked fine on my Treo 650 from Cingular. I installed it and run it from my expansion card instead of on the Treo itself. Maybe that helped it work for me. The images are definitely bigger now and initial trials look promising on quality improvements.
dragonlore: great improvement in picture quality on a camera i had given up on using (600) definitly a keeper!
mcb: Does not work on the Treo 700p -- it gives the error "Unable to load image library -- Bummer."

Great utility, but...
...sadly it doesn't make a great deal of difference to the overall picture quality of the really poor Treo camera. The difference is only just visible when you view the photos on a PC. The photo filesize does increase as you increase the Q but not by a great deal. With the Q set at 90, my photos are usually about 85 KB each. With a Q of 65, they averaged about 30 KB.
