Detailed Description
The PFB package consists of 3 required components:
- filepc2pda.prc: The Palm application which has to be installed on your Treo via Hotsync, or download.
- sertransplg.dll: A Windows driver which must reside in the same directory as PFB.EXE (or optionally in a directory in your Windows PATH)
- PFB.exe: The Windows application itself
Installation
- Downloaded the ZIP archive and extracted all components in some directory on your PC. You should see the following files:
- filepc2pda.prc
- Help.htm
- LICENCE.TXT
- PFB.exe
- ReadMe.txt
- sertransplg.dll
- Using HotSync or whatever means you typically use, transfer filepc2pda.prc to the Treo. Make sure hotsync.exe is no longer running after the transfer, but keep the Treo and the PC connected via cable or cradle.
- On the PC side, invoke PFB.EXE (typically represented by a small magnifying glass icon).
- In the dialog that appears, select:
- Port: USB (Palm)
- Speed: 115200
- On the Treo, invoke filepc2pda.prc if it's not already running. Select:
- Port: 115200
- If all goes well, you will see several messages including "connect", "ready" and "1 volume found".

pranamd1: Any chance there may be a version for the Centro coming anytime soon?
meandmama: took awile to figure it out but it works great on my treo 650. it transfers kinda slow.
f1r3br4nd: I never got this to work on my Treo 600. PInstall works great, though, and that together with FileZ is all I really need to do anything.
firstnamemike: cant get it to transfer, although I can see the files
