davidlbangs: When I start the Palm app, it says "could not open the com port!". I looked at all the settings, and they were right. It is hooked right up to my USB port, as always. The Help file doesn't mention this bug. Since I see other people here couldn't solve the same problem - I give up.

carlosh944t: This is the best product for the treo. You can back up all your files from your phone to your computer. PLUS you can create directories so that when u add mp3s files you can set them in categories. But the best feature is YOU CAN BACK UP ALL YOUR FILES.

phanas1: I initially got the 'COM port an not open' error. That ame when I had not selected the 'speed' on invoking filepc2pda on Treo as per detailed instructions section. I tapped on right button at bottom on Treo and it allowed me to select the speed on Treo and after that I could connect with PC. Its running quite well for me now.

wilreed: Carefully follow the installation instructions below under "Detailed Description" and you should have little to no problems. I had problems when I first tried.
