gml: For folks having crash problems, make sure that your JVM is set up properly and that memory and stack size are set to maximum in the Java Pref panel. Opera Mini's speed beats Blazer hands down.
peaches: Great product for the most part. Occasional resets, like when I use the back button. It's faster than Blazer and renders well. What it really needs is a setting to not split larger pages into multiple ones. It's a really big pain and for people that don't have download caps, it's just not necessary.
pmono: Very usefull software
carbine68: The pure fact opera uses java turns me away from this product. Java is the slowest platform of programming, come on, us PHP or something of the sorts. crashes my treo 650 over and over again. Not sure who the GUI designer is, cause that person needs a crash course in design and efficeincy. Moron.
swarmhawk_pda: Pros: Awesome app - I can now access my company's OWA on my Treo 650, where Blazer (popup would say there's not enough memory, even on text messages) and Xiino (would just hangup and have to soft reset) would not work to get email messages.
As mentioned in the description, you do need Java, but PalmOne had it free for Treo 650 customers. It would be worth it to spend $6 for the Java even if I did have to buy it.
It worked right away for me with no preference tweaking.
Cons: I can't find a disconnect button to shut off the call. It would be nice to have a more standard interface. Neither of these are an issue for me considering the cost/performance perspective.
Overall: For the price, performance and speed an excellent tool to have.
Calroth: The top and bottom toolbars can be removed by pressing the * button. It's free, so try it as compared with Blazer. I don't like that it uses the large font, but because it uses a proxy server, it downloads less data per page, saving me money.
k_nagh: can some tell if this is any better than the Blazer that came with Treo 650?
Joad: Installed the latest version today, no other system changes. On hotsync the 650 froze up and neither a soft or warm reset brought it past the Palm logo... Hard Reset and restore :(
IMHO this version may not be ready for prime time on the Palm.
potts5184: Totally sent my 650 into a rebooting cycle. it was unstoppable so i had to HARD reboot it! I recovered all my info but still was a hassle.
chestvrg: I can now access CNN, which w/Treo 650's Blazer v4.3.2.1. I was able to view my bank statements from http://mybranch.dcfcu.org I could not believe this Operera Mini-Browser can do so much on my Treo 650.
