endeva: it's a good idea, but the deluxe zip file only had license and read me. the classic had all the stuff but my centro wouldn't learn. all in all good idea, not so good execution. i didn't pay for anything either so that may have something to do with it.
roseyjr: like the idea.. works well with my treo 680 but i cant exit the program
JasonGlass: My phone now controls my TV, DVD, DVR, Cable, Air Conditioners, celing fans, and the secure front entry of my building..... Take that blackberry!!!!
HOWEVER... you do have to be a max of 6-8 feet from the device. but usualy 3-4 feet is the farthest you can shoot from, little more than arms length. Although it makes a fantastic back-up if you should loose you regular remotes, im still waiting for a viable option....
otterman: Thanks for the warning bakemcbride21. This company had a similar shady practice a few years ago with their Animator software. They're about as trustworthy as Iambic in my mind.
trekker2b: WTF! I have to get like a foot away from the object i want to control!!
bakemcbride21: the SD Blaster range is AWESOME ( i was suckered into buying it)...HOWEVER..Novii stinks in that all the best efatures of the Novvi Deluxe (like creating your own remote and "learning" a remote by facing the remote to your treo and getting all the buttons programmed in) are not available in the crappy evrsion 1.2 software that comes with the SD Blaster. They have not updated the SD Blaster software since Sept '05.
So it is a Catch 22...the better software on a Treo 650 but an IR range of like 3 feet....or the SD car whihc gives you HUGE range, but has crappy software comparitiely.
Novii obviously could care less about integrating the two as it release updated versions of theClassic an Deluxe, but not the Blaster software...
POOR on their part
tyeo098: Where did up up ^^ get the winmedia code? ive been loking for ot every where but cannot find it, if so you have it e-mail it to me at tyeo098@yahoo.com i awiat its arrival.
jericpalm: total ghayness.... hope it plumits......
xkazzx: i can get this crap 4 free
EazyE: My Treo650s underpowered InfraRed port has a range of about 3 feet. hopefully the SD Blaster would be better. great program though.
