magicButton is the ultimate headset button utility for the Treo600/650. magicButton is a clever utility designed for the Treo® 600/650 to control PocketTunes, Dial phone numbers and launch application using the headset button at any time.
magicButton is also integrated with PocketTunes to pause the song if there is an incoming call or when you make a call and unpause after you hang up the call. You can even set magicButton to auto answer the incoming call. You can safely use magicButton to dial your favorite phone numbers while you are driving.
magicButton does not work on Bluetooth headsets.

hackvan: this is a great hack, but honestly i'd rather just have play/pause implemented in ptunes without fussing around with multiple button-presses.
the response time is WAAAAY too slow on a 680. It's probably a combination of button-detection lag, timeout for multiple-press detection, and then audio bufferring in pTunes, but the responsiveness really sucks. Sometimes it doesn't catch a press at all, and other times it just takes 5-10 seconds for audio to stop or start, which is too long if someone's trying to talk to you and you can't mute fast enough for the demands of courtesy.
can anything be done about this?
markchiocchi: I paid for this program and it works great with my Treo 650 using the Seidio 2 in 1 Retractable Back phone Headset. I use magicButton just for Dialing when I am driving. I have magicBotton set to default Dial Phone. I wish it had more Phone numbers to add then the 7 it gives you.
Bluetooth is not working with magicButton, I have button 1 set to call my voicemail so when I push the button on my Bluetooth to wake up the phone it calls my voicemail.
I thing this program is great and a few updates I think Toysoft could get magicButton to work with Bluetooth headsets.

ilkera: not mentioned that if it works with BT headset or not...
