bbernstone: This company are crooks, and dont buy it unless you want to pay them every year.. they have already been taken off of palmgear for false advertising practices, and they will give you no support...
conrong: Not worth the money, time or frustration. Support is lackluster for a product that is poor in quality and features. I'm still a sad ex-Verichat user waiting for an equal or better replacement.
purplejoy: I'm evaluating this program and have discovered a SERIOUS bug. My YIM and AIM buddy lists won't update or refresh! The program would show only 1 or 2 buddies online, when in reality, there were 18 of them. While I was chatting with a non-"online" buddy (who was really online), I was still seeing "xxx is online" and "yyy is offline" from all the non-"online" buddies. I've been seeking support from Mantra Group on this bug for a week but it's still not resolved. Needless to say, they're not getting my business!
Vzw650: How do you delete the freakin trial program??? Piece Of Shit Program!
rantes: good
gizzy: It's cool for the most part except I have to reset my phone at least 2-3 times a day. It has frozen my phone on a number of occasions. Sometimes while a call is coming through. It is supposed to stay connected even if you are on a call, but it doesn't. And everytime you log on or return to the application, the stupid, annoying message comes up reminding you of when your trial period ends! As if the first couple of reminders wasn't enough! If this app were free, I would keep it. However, it is not worth spending money on so I won't mind too much when my trial period is over!
Johnnycespedes: me parece regular x me da errores cuando mi treo 600 esta en internet me a reseteado el tel muchas veces
Joad: $35 a year "subscription" model, and the server is unavailable this regularly?(!!) Completely unacceptable.
There are other pay and freeware solutions to IM on the Treo. If I were paying that much money for service on such a minor app, I'd expect very close to 24/7 uptime on their "required" server proxy.
TreoRenegade: Be forewarned: MantraGroup has a history of being AWOL on support issues. During the trial of this app about a year ago, it looked good and worked well-- long enough for me to pull out my credit card. Then, the server issues started. MantraGroup did not answer multiple emails, sent over several months. Like many, I relied on their user forums. But then MantraGroup killed the forums outright. Now, the company sems to be everywhere, no doubt due to a new app they're pushing. Meanwhile, the long-promised fix to CallShield, to make it 650 friendly, has yet to appear-- and the 650's been out well over a year. Fortunately, there are competing products. I've prelaced both CalShield and CauseriePro. MantraGroup has trained me to NEVAH! patronize any product with their name on it. Like I said, you've been warned.
atomic18: Mantragroup server goes down, then so does your application. And for the first few month after the purchase, this seemed to be all the time.
Sometimes the server was down for more than 24-48 hours at a time with less than specific error messages not letting you know if it was your treo or the network or xyz....
Support it virtually non-existant!
- Numerous phone calls made and no return call EVER received. (and no LIVE person ever answers)
- Ticket support system email volley for over a week and still no resolution for a simple issue of lost registration key.
- Customer forums removed from their site (probably due to all of the angry customers)
- Live support chat removed from their site (probably due to all of the angry customers)
IF it the software was reliable it would get a 6.
IF there was support or clear communication to customers from the team we PAID for the product it might bump to a 9.
As it is, Causerie is neither reliable nor well supported so it would typically get a 2.
Because Causerie seems to have understood my last request to return my money and has since then ceased to even respond to any inquiries or requests to at least get it running again, they'd get a 0.
Theives.
