Main features: BrightCam uses the Treo/Centro camera to measure the amount of ambient light and adjust the brightness/contrast of the PDA screen to suitable levels every time the user switches applications or powers up. Also, BrightCam will determine whether the keyboard light is required and make the necessary adjustment in the user's preferences. Don't miss a phone call when your Treo/Centro is in your pocket or when you are in a noisy place! BrightCam will detect the dim lighting condition and the noise level and will boost the volume to its maximum value if needed. Main features are Freeware, but if you want to contribute you can make a donation.
SirDeimos: Yikes. It dosent work to well for me it made everything very dim and made my buttons not light up at all anymore to fix that you have to do a reset btw. I dont reccomend but it could just be me

Gregbenimble: I have never written a review for an application before but now that has changed. This is the absolute best damn piece of software you can get! Hands down the most functional, simple, effective, no bullshit app going. If you miss this one you have missed the best!Definataly a MUST HAVE! ps. did I say that I liked it? Get it now!... It's free? WOW! 
anonyME: Stupid design. It keeps dimming the display with the darker ambient light until it is totally off in darkness. Conversely it hopelessly increases the backlight brightness in the blazing sun when it should just turn off the backlight. It also lowers the ringtone loudness in quiet places like inside your purse or backpack so you don't hear anything.
